AI Engineer

Function

We're looking for a highly skilled AI Engineer to support our client’s innovation-driven team. This consultant will be responsible for designing tailored AI solutions that align with business objectives and deliver measurable value. The role is project-driven and executed in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

As a consultant, you will take end-to-end ownership of AI use cases, from conception to implementation:

• Translate business needs into scalable, valuable AI solutions.
• Define project objectives and assess intermediate results, adjusting approaches when needed.
• Drive the development and evaluation of advanced models, particularly in the areas of computer vision and large language models.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to communicate progress and results clearly.
• Contribute to an internal AI knowledge hub and uphold best practices in AI governance and strategy.

Key Tasks & Focus Areas

• Lead AI initiatives within a structured project environment.
• Develop solutions that can be easily industrialized using modern cloud-native architecture.
• Ensure the integration of cutting-edge AI techniques into practical applications.
• Work hands-on with technologies such as Azure-OpenAI, Langchain, RAG, Tensorflow, PyTorch, and more.
• Support internal teams with expertise in data annotation, object detection, and AI algorithm optimization.

Ideal Profile

• Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence (mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Data Scientist or AI Engineer role.
• Proven experience in:
  • Computer vision & object detection
  • Large Language Models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Python, Numpy, Pandas, Sklearn
  • Azure (including Azure OpenAI services)
  • Langchain, Tensorflow or Pytorch
• Familiarity with:
  • FastAPI and Streamlit
  • Statistical modeling and AI algorithm design
• Strong understanding of cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Fluent Dutch speaker.
