AI Innovation Coordinator & Solution Architect

We’re looking for an experienced AI Coordination & Innovation Consultant to join our client’s strategic transformation environment within the energy sector. In this high-impact role, you will act as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, IT teams, governance functions, and external technology partners. You will help shape and guide AI-driven initiatives from intake and assessment through governance, prioritization, implementation, and executive reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
As the AI Coordination & Innovation Consultant, you will drive alignment across multiple stakeholders while ensuring AI initiatives remain secure, compliant, and strategically valuable. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating AI and innovation initiatives across business, IT, architecture, security, compliance, and external vendors
- Managing AI use case intake, feasibility analysis, prioritization, and preparation for strategic decision-making
- Assessing emerging AI capabilities, enterprise AI platforms, generative AI solutions, LLM ecosystems, and agentic AI technologies
- Facilitating the setup and governance of AI platforms, data environments, integrations, access management, logging, and compliance controls
- Supporting governance frameworks related to GDPR, NIS2, EU AI Act, security governance, and data governance
- Contributing to business case development by evaluating value, risks, costs, dependencies, maturity, and organizational impact
- Ensuring architectural alignment with enterprise, data, and solution architecture standards
- Reporting progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and steering committees
- Organizing knowledge sharing, stakeholder alignment, awareness sessions, and AI-related training initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
Our client is seeking a consultant with a strong combination of architectural expertise, AI knowledge, governance awareness, and stakeholder management capabilities. The ideal candidate brings:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments
- Strong experience coordinating AI or innovation initiatives in multi-stakeholder organizations
- Demonstrated knowledge of GDPR, NIS2, EU AI Act, security governance, and AI compliance requirements
- Hands-on understanding of security and compliance considerations linked to AI-enabled platforms and tools
- Solid experience with modeling methodologies and frameworks such as Archimate, TOGAF, UML, and Sparx EA
- Strong knowledge of AI concepts including Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, and agentic AI
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear business-oriented language
- Proven experience within the Belgian energy market, including market processes and concepts such as MIG/UMIG, DSOs, TSOs, BRPs, metering, market integrations, and flexibility processes
