Allround System Administrator

Function

Our client, an established organization, is seeking an Allround System Administrator with a broad technical skill set to join their IT team. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in managing diverse IT systems and infrastructure. Expertise in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (MS365) is highly advantageous, as the company is progressively adopting cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain HP servers and storage solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Oversee Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019), ensuring stability, security, and efficient operations.
• Administer and support networking components, including switches, firewalls, and general network infrastructure.
• Provide support for Office 365 and Exchange Server (2013/2016), including email and collaboration services.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V for seamless system virtualization and resource allocation.
• Implement and manage backup solutions like Backup Exec or VEEAM to ensure data protection and disaster recovery readiness.
• Support and maintain XenApp and Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments for secure remote access.
• Assist in the administration and integration of cloud environments, particularly Azure, Intune, and Microsoft 365.
• Monitor system health using N-Able or similar monitoring tools to proactively address potential issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in an allround system administrator/system engineer role, managing diverse IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, networking principles, and virtualized environments.
• Familiarity with HP server/storage solutions and common backup systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, MS365) is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of firewall configuration, switch management, and network security best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and deliver effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
