Apache Airflow Infra Engineer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer with strong expertise in containerization, Kubernetes-based platforms, and cloud-native technologies. The role focuses on building, deploying, operating, and supporting containerized applications in complex enterprise environments, with a particular emphasis on automation, standardization, and reliable platform operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications across enterprise environments.
• Support Kubernetes-based platforms and ensure stable operation of workloads.
• Work with GitOps practices to enable automated and standardized deployments across multiple environments.
• Set up, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient delivery processes.
• Install, configure, administer, and support workflow and data processing platforms.
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary team with a practical, hands-on mindset.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Docker, including building and optimizing images and managing registries.
• Solid operational experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of workloads.
• Experience with Helm for packaging, deploying, and managing Kubernetes application configuration through charts.
• Experience with Helmfile and Go templates for reproducible deployments across multiple environments.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including deployment and troubleshooting of containerized applications.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and/or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Argo CD and GitOps-based continuous deployment for Kubernetes applications.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for installation, configuration, administration, and operational support, including DAG deployment and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of English, and the ability to communicate fluently in Dutch and/or French.
