Application Architect

We are looking for an experienced Application Architect to join our client's team and contribute to a portfolio of impactful healthcare and public-sector digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, governing, and evolving application architectures that align business needs with robust, secure, and scalable technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, development teams, and key stakeholders to deliver applications, services, and system integrations that support critical healthcare-related operations.

A significant part of the assignment involves supporting the implementation of a modern authentication and identity management framework across a large application landscape. This includes defining migration strategies, ensuring secure integration patterns, and guiding development teams through architectural transitions. You will also oversee the architecture and implementation of various digital health projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and enterprise architecture principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain application architectures aligned with business and technical requirements
• Provide architectural guidance throughout the full software development lifecycle
• Define and support migration strategies for identity and access management solutions
• Ensure applications comply with security, scalability, and integration standards
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Promote API-first design principles, microservices architectures, and enterprise integration patterns
• Review technical designs and ensure alignment with architectural governance
• Support Agile delivery teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

You bring extensive experience in software engineering and application architecture, with previous experience as a Lead Developer, Solution Architect, or Application Architect. You have a strong understanding of modern application ecosystems, cloud-native technologies, and security-focused architectures.
