ASTRID Radio Network Coordinator
Function
We’re looking for a Radio Network Coordinator to support our client in meeting its indoor radio coverage obligations across existing, renovated, and newly constructed buildings. In this assignment, you will act as an expert in indoor radio network design, ASTRID repeater roll-out coordination, and technical solution delivery. You will collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors, while also working independently to ensure high-quality and compliant network implementations. The role will be activated based on project needs and may scale up to four FTE, though this is not guaranteed.
Role & Responsibilities

Design RF schematics and technical solutions for new indoor repeater installations.

Conduct site surveys, identify coverage gaps, and produce detailed documentation such as design dossiers and as-built reports.

Coordinate subcontractors during on-site installation and integration activities.

Perform site measurements on the client’s radio network and, when required, on mobile networks.

Ensure all deliverables comply with relevant regulations and ASTRID standards.

Read and interpret architectural plans to assess RF requirements and optimize design solutions.

Support the roll-out of indoor radio infrastructure and guarantee consistent technical quality across projects.
Conformity Requirements

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Telecom or Electronics, with at least 15 years of experience in mobile network infrastructure environments.

Proven experience with ASTRID Tetra technology and network design.

Track record of delivering more than 10 indoor designs, including coordination and integration activities.

Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.

Availability based on project demand and planning.
Evaluation Criteria

Strong knowledge of Radio Frequency principles and hands-on RF design expertise.

Understanding of Belgian electromagnetic RF regulations.

Ability to create technical RF schematics for indoor network setups.

Experience executing site surveys and documenting findings and design recommendations.

Capability to coordinate subcontractors effectively during installation phases.

Ability to perform precise site measurements on ASTRID and other mobile networks when required.

Skilled in interpreting architectural drawings and determining RF impact and requirements.
