We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our client’s team and contribute to a large-scale digital transformation focused on modernising the organisation’s data infrastructure. You’ll become part of an agile, cloud- and edge-driven data team where collaboration with business stakeholders, data analysts and IT specialists is key. Your work will have a tangible impact on how data is processed, integrated and made available for reporting and operational purposes, helping the organisation make smarter, more sustainable decisions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain data products for reporting and operational integration purposes.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations across a diverse range of enterprise and SaaS applications.
  • Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data structures, relationships and requirements.
  • Apply industry best practices around software-oriented data design, incremental data flows, data modelling and data security.
  • Contribute to the further digitalisation of the organisation and the adoption of innovative data technologies.
  • Collaborate with analysts and reporting specialists who use the resulting data products for dashboards and business reporting.
  • Work effectively within an agile SAFe environment, proactively managing changing or overlapping priorities.

Technical Profile

You have solid hands-on experience with the Azure Cloud Data Platform and are comfortable working with modern data engineering technologies. Your technical toolkit includes:

  • Python, PySpark and SQL
  • Azure Databricks and Apache Spark
  • Spark Structured Streaming and Delta Change Data Feed
  • Azure Data Factory and Azure Storage
  • Azure Key Vault and Azure DevOps
  • Azure Entra ID, including Service Principals and Managed Identities
  • Security by Design, including encryption and network security
  • Medallion architecture and data modelling, including Kimball star schemas, dimensions and facts
  • Source-data versioning and historical data management

Experience integrating data from ERP, asset management and SaaS platforms is a strong plus. Familiarity with APIs and working with data originating from platforms such as enterprise resource planning systems, HR systems, asset management solutions, reporting platforms and collaboration tools will be highly valued.

Ideal Candidate

You are a collaborative and proactive Data Engineer who enjoys working across technical and business boundaries. You communicate clearly, adapt easily to changing priorities and bring a pragmatic mindset to complex data challenges. You have a strong understanding of modern cloud data architecture and enjoy turning diverse data sources into reliable, secure and reusable data products. Experience in an agile SAFe environment is an advantage, as is a genuine interest in using innovative technology to support broader digital transformation.
