Azure Platform Support Engineer
Function
We’re looking for a consultant to join our client’s platform team as an Azure Platform Support Engineer. In this role, you will help ensure the stability, reliability and continued evolution of an internal developer platform used by software delivery teams. You will act as a trusted technical point of contact for development teams and business stakeholders, supporting application delivery while helping improve the platform over time.
Role & Responsibilities
As an Azure Platform Support Engineer, you will combine DevOps, platform engineering and support responsibilities. You will help teams deploy applications efficiently, troubleshoot platform-related issues and contribute to the operational quality of the environment.
- Monitor and improve the performance, availability and scalability of the platform
- Support development teams with deployments, delivery flows and DevOps best practices
- Deploy, configure and maintain platform services and new platform capabilities
- Troubleshoot complex incidents and propose structural improvements
- Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities together with product and development teams
- Act as a bridge between development teams, business stakeholders and platform operations
- Help safeguard platform principles, product standards and technical best practices
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a technically strong consultant with solid communication skills and a hands-on mindset. You should be comfortable working close to development teams, guiding internal users through deployment processes and supporting the operational side of a modern cloud platform.
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure in a software delivery context
- Experience with CI/CD processes, deployment pipelines and software lifecycles
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, including deployments, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and platform engineering concepts
- Analytical, proactive and able to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders
- Broad technical interest and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies
- Experience working in a small, autonomous team environment
- Strong affinity with software development, without being a pure developer profile
Nice to Have
Relevant Azure certifications and familiarity with modern application stacks will be considered a strong plus.
- Azure Administrator Associate or another relevant Azure certification
- Affinity with the Java Spring stack
- Languages: Dutch and English
