Batch Scheduling Expert

We're looking for a Batch Scheduling Expert/Analyst to support our client's IT operations. This is a key role within a high-impact environment, where you'll ensure the efficiency and reliability of batch processes across multiple systems. You'll be responsible for coordinating internal and external stakeholders, maintaining process documentation, and supporting transformation initiatives through structured batch management.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for coordinating all actors involved in batch management, including internal teams and external service providers. You'll ensure accurate documentation of batch processes and maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date batch inventory. You'll implement service monitoring and reporting frameworks to track performance and accountability, support a 24/7 incident management structure aligned with batch operations, and collect metadata to enable lifecycle management, release planning, and transformation programs. Your role will require alignment with ITIL processes, including incident, release, change, and configuration management.

The Ideal Candidate

You bring a mix of technical knowledge, operational insight, and structured thinking. You have solid expertise in batch scheduling and monitoring, preferably using Control-M (mainframe or distributed), and working knowledge of JCL. You're analytical, pragmatic, and a strong problem-solver. Your communication and coordination skills are excellent, and you’re comfortable coaching or aligning stakeholders. You maintain a strong customer-oriented mindset and a disciplined approach to documentation and compliance.
