BI Developer

Function

We're looking for a skilled BI Developer with Power BI and Azure Data Services experience to join our client's European digital transformation team. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting strategic reporting initiatives across industrial operations with a focus on productivity, sustainability, and data-driven decision-making.

Role and Responsibilities

As part of a compact data team (including a data architect and data engineer), you'll own the reporting and dashboarding layer for various initiatives. Your insights will directly influence operational strategies, working in close collaboration with business stakeholders.

You’ll be expected to:

• Design and implement Power BI semantic models reflecting business logic.
• Build and maintain interactive dashboards and performance reports.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into effective KPIs and visual analytics.
• Work iteratively in an Agile setup with continuous stakeholder interaction.
• Ensure data integrity and report performance by coordinating with data engineering.

Ideal Profile

We are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a business-oriented mindset:

• Proven expertise with Power BI, Power Query, data modeling, and DAX.
• Deep understanding of best practices in data visualization.
• Knowledge of modern Microsoft data lake platforms (Azure Data Lake Storage, Fabric, Databricks, SQL Services).
• Experience working in manufacturing or sustainability data domains is a strong asset.
• Comfortable working independently and engaging directly with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Practical

• You're able to work onsite in Ghent, combined with up to 2 days of teleworking
• You're fluent in English and Dutch (preferred).
