Business Analyst

We're currently looking for a consultant to join our client's team as a Business Analyst.

As a Business Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our client's services by conducting business analyses. Collaborating closely with one of the business project managers, your tasks include:

• Analyzing, assessing, refining, and validating the needs and requirements of clients, client managers, subject matter experts, lawyers, and other stakeholders active in the business domain.
• Engaging with individuals from various domains/expertises, documenting findings, and utilizing the analyses as input for adjusting/developing IT systems or business processes.
• Forming a comprehensive understanding of the entire landscape of our client, asking critical questions, and delving into details through regular consultations with the business project manager and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mapping Customer Needs:

   • Inventorizing internal customer needs arising from legislative changes or process optimizations.
   • Evaluating the consistency and logical flow of these needs, mapping processes End2End.

2. Crafting Business Requirements:

   • Detailing business requirements and translating them into functional software requirements.
   • Assessing different solutions, considering business benefits, ROI, and TCO, and presenting alternative options to the product manager under the guidance of the business project manager.
   • Examining solution feasibility, contributing to the development of business cases, and understanding cross-domain dependencies.
   • Serving as a liaison between the business and IT, translating business needs into software requirements and explaining IT solution possibilities and limitations to business stakeholders.

• Proficient in documentation and a lover of structure.
• A team player with the ability to work independently, open to feedback, and capable of providing constructive criticism.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English
• Motivated to learn new things, take ownership, and complete tasks.
• Strong analytical thinking and an eagerness to learn, adapt, and gain knowledge rapidly.

Other requirements

• Willing to travel to Ghent for 2d/week.
