We're looking for a consultant to join our client's team, where the focus is on supporting the assessment and enhancement of critical rating applications. These systems are key in determining expected losses and managing risk-weighted assets as they evaluate the probability of default for various counterparties and clients. As our client embarks on a significant review of their rating processes, we are seeking skilled professionals to facilitate impactful changes that affect both the rating process and the regulatory capital.

Responsibilities

The consultants will be instrumental in aligning our client's requirements with those necessary for functionality and compliance. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Translating requirements between different stakeholders
  • Collaborating with risk modeling teams
  • Integrating necessary model changes into existing rating systems
  • Assessing system and organizational impacts of proposed changes
  • Communicating changes and their implications to both internal users and management

Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background with a focus on mathematics, complemented by relevant experience in business analysis or functional analysis. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in either Dutch or French
  • A graduate degree or similar qualification
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a business analyst role within a large, complex environment
  • Familiarity with SQL and strong analysis skills
  • Experience with credits and supporting Agile development squads
  • Understanding of large IT architectures and systems integration

Technical & Soft Skills

The consultants will need a mix of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to thrive in this dynamic role. The essential technical skills include:

  • Expertise in SQL and functional/technical analysis
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Testing capabilities

Soft skills that enhance team collaboration and project management are equally important:

  • A proactive approach and quick learning ability
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Analytical thinking and the capacity to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines
