We’re looking for a Senior Data Business Analyst to join our client’s team and play a key role in turning data into real business value. This is a high-impact position at the crossroads of business, data, and IT, where you’ll drive performance improvements, support strategic decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency. You’ll operate with a strong level of autonomy while collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will act as a strategic partner to business and technical teams, ensuring that data-driven solutions align with business objectives:

• Business Analysis & Functional Scoping
  • Gather, challenge, and formalize business requirements from key stakeholders
  • Lead workshops to define scope, clarify needs, and align expectations
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and data requirements
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business value and technical feasibility
• Data Modeling & Governance
  • Contribute to the design of data models and information flows
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance best practices
  • Collaborate closely with data and IT teams to guarantee reliable and accessible datasets
• Data Analysis & Insights
  • Perform in-depth quantitative analyses to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Design and implement KPIs, dashboards, and reporting solutions
  • Deliver actionable recommendations based on analytical findings
• Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Present insights in a clear, structured, and business-oriented manner
  • Support end-users in adopting data tools and solutions
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Identify opportunities to optimize business processes through data
  • Contribute to the data strategy and roadmap of our client
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives such as automation, data quality, and governance programs

Profile – The Ideal Candidate

• Strong experience as a Data or Business Analyst in complex environments
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and data modeling
• Solid experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
• Good understanding of data architectures (data warehouse, data lake, ETL processes)
• Ability to read and interpret data models and workflows
• Experience with functional specifications, user stories, and Agile methodologies
• Strong knowledge of business processes and the ability to challenge and refine requirements
• Familiarity with process modeling (e.g. BPMN) and project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2)
• Exposure to tools and ecosystems such as Microsoft Power Platform and SAP (ECC, S/4) is a plus
• Basic knowledge of statistics or data science is considered an advantage

Experience & Expertise

• Senior-level experience in data analysis and business transformation
• Proven track record in data modeling, integrated reporting (ETL, SQL, data storage), and process optimization
• Background in data-driven transformation initiatives and business operations modeling
• Hands-on experience with data architecture concepts and modern data environments
