Function

We’re looking for a Business Information Analyst to join our client’s team and strengthen their data-driven operations. In this role, you will structure, manage, and optimize information to support analysis, reporting, and strategic decision-making.

Role & Responsibilities

You will design and maintain information models that define key concepts, data structures, relationships, and business rules. Acting as the link between business and IT, you ensure that information needs are clearly translated into practical solutions while safeguarding data quality and consistency.

• Develop and manage information models (definitions, attributes, relationships, business rules)
• Capture business needs and translate them into functional requirements
• Advise information owners on data quality, governance, and management decisions
• Facilitate workshops and align stakeholders across teams
• Support data migrations and ensure consistent, accessible data flows
• Deliver analyses and insights to support management decisions
• Act as an independent coordinator, ensuring alignment across domains
• Identify optimizations and implement best practices in information management
• Maintain clear, structured, and user-friendly documentation

Environment & Tasks

You will operate in a cross-functional environment and contribute to initiatives with significant organizational impact, including the development of a centralized data platform.

• Collaborate with teams across business and IT
• Support projects with high data and information impact (large user base)
• Build knowledge of processes, systems, and data flows to ensure consistency
• Work with complex datasets, including geospatial (GIS) information
• Stay up to date with trends in Data Governance and Business Intelligence

Profile & Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst (information-focused)
• Proven experience with information modeling and in-depth data analysis
• Experience with Data Governance / BI tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect, Power BI, Azure, Databricks, etc.)
• Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic and structured approach
• Experience in stakeholder management and facilitating workshops
• Experience in projects with significant business impact is a strong plus
• Familiarity with large transformation environments is an asset

Language Requirements:

• Dutch: C2 level (mandatory)
• English: Professional proficiency (required)
