Business Information Analyst

We’re looking for a Business Information Analyst to join our client’s growing BI team and act as a bridge between the business and the data world. In this role, you will translate business information needs into clear BI requirements, work closely with data engineers, and take hands-on ownership of building datasets and advanced dashboards in Power BI. You will also contribute to the transition from an existing SAP BI landscape to a modern Power BI environment.

Role and responsibilities

• Analyse business needs for insights and translate them into clear functional requirements for data engineers.

• Perform functional analysis of source data in preparation for BI developments.

• Design and build dimensional data models that enable Data and Reporting Analysts to create performant dashboards.

• Develop complex Power BI reports and dashboards and support colleagues in creating and maintaining their visualisations.

• Contribute to ensuring that the BI layer delivers accurate and relevant business insights.

• Maintain existing Power BI universes and support analysts who use these as sources for reporting and visualisation.

Profile

• Solid experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX and visualisation.

• Experience with SAP BI, including designing universes.

• Strong background in data modelling, data warehousing, reporting and data visualisation.

• Good knowledge of SQL.

• Ability to quickly understand and translate business contexts into BI solutions.

• Experience with HR or document management reporting is a plus.
