Business Information Analyst

Function

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our client's data and analytics team. In this role, you will act as the key link between business stakeholders and technical BI teams, ensuring that reporting and analytical needs are translated into scalable data solutions. You will play an important role in the ongoing evolution of a modern Power BI environment, while supporting the migration of reporting capabilities from a legacy BI platform to a future-proof analytics ecosystem.

Working closely with business users, data engineers, and reporting specialists, you will help transform data into meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and translate business reporting and analytics requirements into functional specifications
• Collaborate with Data Engineers by preparing clear functional analyses and source data requirements
• Design and build dimensional data models that enable high-performance reporting and self-service analytics
• Develop and maintain complex Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards
• Support reporting analysts in the creation, optimization, and maintenance of dashboards and visualizations
• Ensure the BI layer delivers accurate, reliable, and actionable business insights
• Maintain and enhance existing semantic models and reporting structures within Power BI
• Contribute to the migration of reporting solutions from legacy BI platforms to Power BI

The Ideal Candidate

You combine strong business analysis skills with hands-on expertise in business intelligence and data modelling. You are comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical teams and can quickly understand new business domains and reporting requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and dashboard development
• Experience with SAP BI, particularly in the design and maintenance of universes or semantic layers
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, reporting, and data visualization concepts
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience translating business requirements into BI and data solutions
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
