BW/4HANA Application Analyst & Developer

Function

We’re looking for a senior SAP BW/4HANA Application Analyst & Developer to join our client’s BI & Analytics environment. In this role, you will act as a key expert within large-scale transformation and reporting initiatives, combining responsibilities as Application Owner, Functional Analyst, and Developer. You will work closely with operational and business teams to design, optimize, and maintain reporting solutions that support critical business processes and strategic decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business needs related to reporting, dashboards, and analytics;
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and scalable reporting solutions;
• Design, validate, and maintain reports and dashboards using SAP reporting technologies;
• Provide recommendations on reporting approaches, mock-ups, Proof of Concepts, and best practices;
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, end users, suppliers, and technical teams to manage improvements, incidents, and roadmap activities;
• Ensure consistency with existing enterprise and solution architecture standards in collaboration with architecture teams;
• Support testing activities, test scenario creation, functional validation, and data quality initiatives;
• Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for the applications and reporting solutions under your responsibility;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical and functional documentation;
• Participate in occasional site visits to operational locations to better understand business processes and user needs.

Technical Environment & Required Expertise

Our client is seeking a highly experienced SAP BI professional with:

• Extensive experience in SAP BW and BW/4HANA environments (+15 years);
• Strong expertise with reporting and analytics tools, including:
  • SAP BW
  • SAP BW/4HANA
  • SAP BusinessObjects / Web Intelligence (WebI)
  • SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Power BI
• Proven experience with migration projects from SAP BW 7.x to BW/4HANA;
• Solid knowledge of SAP MM and SAP PM modules;
• Additional knowledge of SAP FI/CO and SAP PS is considered an asset;
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and functional analysis techniques;
• Relevant SAP certifications in BW, BW/4HANA, or Datasphere.

The Ideal Candidate

• Master’s degree in IT, engineering, economics, or a related discipline;
• Strong experience in roles such as Application Owner, Functional Analyst, or SAP BW Developer;
• Experience working within complex operational or industrial environments is highly valued;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Proactive mindset with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities;
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English;
• Available to work onsite two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday).
