C Developer with PHP knowledge

Function

Our client is looking for a skilled software professional to contribute to the modernization of critical information systems within a high-availability environment. This opportunity sits within a multidisciplinary team and focuses on the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of PHP- and C-based solutions that support a broader migration toward a more open and accessible architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and enhance applications based on functional and technical analysis
• Maintain and further improve PHP and C applications in a high-availability environment
• Work with functional analysts to translate user needs into effective technical solutions
• Monitor technological evolutions and provide technical advice where relevant
• Propose improvements and adjustments to existing solutions and ongoing initiatives
• Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation
• Provide maintenance and technical support for applications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with PHP 5.6, PHP 7, and PHP 8
• Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript
• Expert-level programming in C at server level, including asynchronous programming and threads
• Good understanding of Linux Red Hat server environments
• Good knowledge of network protocols, especially TCP/IP
• Experience using web services from PHP applications, including REST and SOAP
• Familiarity with AngularJS, Ajax, jQuery, CodeIgniter, Git, and DEVO
• Knowledge of C# and Xamarin is also part of the profile

Practical Information

• Full-time assignment, 40 hours per week
• On-site presence is required at least twice a week, depending on the tasks and in coordination with the team
• Remote work is allowed within Belgium
• This is a long-term consulting opportunity
• Languages required: Dutch, English, and French
