Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Function

We're looking for a skilled consultant to join our client's team, playing a vital role in enhancing cybersecurity leadership across a critical organization. Your mission will focus on defining, promoting, and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity framework tailored to comply with essential standards and regulations. Collaborative cross-functional engagement will be necessary to ensure robust governance, risk management, and operational resilience.

Responsibilities

As an integral part of our client’s strategic initiatives, you will:

• Develop and implement cybersecurity governance structures, including processes and accountability frameworks.
• Engage with executive committees to advocate for cybersecurity as a pivotal strategic objective.
• Establish performance metrics for cybersecurity initiatives and generate insightful reports for management review.
• Define mandatory cybersecurity policies and oversee adherence to regulatory compliance, particularly NIS2 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Enhance incident response capabilities through crisis management exercises and business continuity planning.
• Foster a cybersecurity culture across the organization by integrating security considerations into all projects and processes.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• 10 to 20+ years of experience in information security, risk management, and cybersecurity governance, preferably in a complex organizational setting.
• Proven track record in a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) role or equivalent senior security management position.
• Strong ability to interact with top-level management, as well as experience in structuring governance frameworks for information security.
• Expertise in relevant standards (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIS2) and methodologies in information security management.
• Proficient in emerging technologies and approaches like cloud architecture, Zero Trust, and DevSecOps.

Other Requirements
