CISO - IT security advisor

We're seeking an experienced professional to join our client's team as an integral part of their technological advancements. This role is crucial for ensuring the security and integrity of information across the organization. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of information security policies, safeguarding against digital threats while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

For this position, we are looking for someone who is available 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will hold comprehensive responsibility for:

• Strategy and Policy: Developing a robust cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Risk Management: Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating information security risks.
• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to legislation and standards (e.g., GDPR, NIS2).
• Incident Response: Leading the response to data breaches and cyber incidents.
• Awareness: Enhancing security awareness among staff.
• Consultation: Advising the management team on security investments.

Profile

The ideal candidate will serve as a link between technology, operational staff, and senior management, embedding security as a core component of business operations. To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

• Expertise in Change Management, Communication, Project Monitoring, and Stakeholder Management.
• Full professional proficiency in Dutch and professional working proficiency in English.
• Extensive experience in cybersecurity strategy development and risk management.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards impacting information security.
