CISO Project Manager
Function
We are looking for a senior consultant to join our client’s environment as a CISO Project Manager. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for managing complex cybersecurity and transformation initiatives from start to finish. The position requires strong project delivery expertise, deep understanding of security governance, and the ability to collaborate with both business and IT leadership in a demanding, high-impact environment.
Role & Responsibilities
In this position, you will oversee the full lifecycle of strategic security-related initiatives and ensure alignment between technical delivery, regulatory expectations, and operational priorities.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of cybersecurity and CISO-related projects within our client’s organization
- Translate strategic security and compliance requirements into structured project plans and measurable deliverables
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, and changes while proactively addressing obstacles that could impact delivery
- Collaborate closely with senior business stakeholders, IT leadership, and security specialists to ensure successful project execution
- Develop and maintain governance processes, policies, and procedures supporting security initiatives and compliance standards
- Ensure clear documentation, reporting, and communication throughout the project lifecycle using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, and Office 365
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution and security governance practices
- Maintain direct accountability for project outcomes and delivery quality
Profile & Required Experience
Our client is seeking an experienced project management professional with strong technical understanding of security frameworks and extensive experience delivering large-scale transformation initiatives.
- More than 20 years of experience in IT environments
- At least 10 years of experience in project or program management
- Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation programs in complex operational environments
- Demonstrated experience managing major programs with significant budget oversight
- Strong experience interacting with senior management and presenting project progress at executive level
- Certification in a recognized project management methodology such as PMI, PMBOK, PRINCE2, PM2, or similar
- Familiarity with project management approaches such as SAFe, Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid methodologies, and governance frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL
- Proficiency with project and collaboration tools including MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, and Office 365
- Security-related certifications such as CISSP or ISO 27000 knowledge are considered an advantage
- Knowledge of analytical or forecasting techniques such as Monte Carlo analysis is a plus
