Cloud Architect

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to help shape and enhance the IT services architecture for a confidential client operating in a highly secure and mission-critical environment. This role involves designing, documenting, and guiding cloud-based solutions that align with operational and territorial needs, while ensuring security and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in cloud strategy, infrastructure planning, and architecture governance. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to support evolving service requirements and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate short- and long-term information architecture strategies aligned with cloud governance goals

• Evaluate and recommend cloud providers and services based on organizational needs

• Plan and manage cloud migrations, ensuring alignment with existing infrastructure, best practices, and security standards

• Balance cloud governance and architecture strategies for both small- and large-scale data projects

• Support service development and improvement projects with architectural guidance

• Maintain thorough documentation of architectural components and systems

• Collaborate with infrastructure and application architects to support technical decisions and service-level agreements

• Coordinate with external IT vendors and partners to ensure aligned project execution

Qualifications and Skills

Experience

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or DevOps professional

• Prior work in secure or regulated environments is a strong plus

Technical Skills

• Cloud Analysis – Expert

• Cloud Deployment and Cloud Technologies – Confirmed

• Big Data – Confirmed

• Archimate – Basic

• IT Governance & Compliance Support – Basic

• IT Frameworks (ITIL, TOGAF, NAF, UML) – Basic

• Process Modeling Tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect) – Basic

Other Requirements

• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and operational contexts

• Must be eligible for or currently hold a security clearance

• Comfortable working in or alongside military or defense environments
