Cloud Native Developer

Function

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Native Developer to play a key role in their cloud transformation and modernization initiatives. You will take on both an advisory and hands-on development role, guiding application teams in their transition to the cloud while ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security. With your expertise in Azure and modern development practices, you will help shape the future of cloud applications within the organization.

Responsibilities

Advisory Role:

• Support and mentor development teams in building applications within Azure using DevOps principles, CI/CD methodologies, and Terraform.
• Accelerate cloud adoption by developing standardized templates and documentation.

Development Role:

• Collaborate with architects and project leaders to translate functional and technical requirements into structured backlogs for application teams.
• Develop, implement, and optimize cloud-native applications within Azure, leveraging modern architectures such as microservices and serverless.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality software development.
• Work closely with DevOps engineers to integrate applications into CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

• At least 5 years of experience developing cloud-native applications in Azure using Agile and CI/CD methodologies.
• Strong expertise in .NET (C# 8.0+) and REST API development (ASP.NET Core, Minimal APIs).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, containerization (Docker), and Azure DevOps.
• Deep understanding of modern software architectures, including microservices, SOLID principles, CQRS, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Fluent in either Dutch or French, with basic proficiency in the second language, and strong English reading and writing skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or Azure Expert-level certification.
• Knowledge of SQL, SignalR, Redis, Blazor/CSS (Bootstrap, HTML5, Dapr).
• Experience with OpenID Connect, WCF SOAP integrations, and PDF generation (iTextSharp).
