Cloud Native Developer - Azure

We’re looking for a Cloud Native Developer to join our client’s team and play a key role in large-scale cloud transformation and application modernization initiatives. In this role, you will combine advisory expertise with hands-on development, helping application teams transition to modern, scalable cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate closely with architects and project leaders to translate technical requirements into actionable implementation plans while ensuring applications meet architectural standards, security requirements, and operational best practices.

Role & Responsibilities
As a Cloud Native Developer, you will guide application teams throughout the lifecycle of cloud-native applications while actively contributing to the development and optimization of solutions in Azure.

Advisory responsibilities:

• Guide and support development teams in building cloud-native applications within Azure.

• Promote DevOps practices, CI/CD methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Provide technical coaching and share best practices related to modern cloud architectures and automated development processes.

• Ensure solutions align with architectural standards, governance principles, and operational guidelines defined by our client.

Development responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to deploy application services in Azure landing zones.

• Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET Core Blazor applications and related backend services.

• Set up and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for building, packaging, and deploying .NET containerized applications.

• Implement automated deployments of Azure services through Terraform-based pipelines.

• Monitor and optimize Azure services and containerized workloads to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to applications running in Azure.

• Contribute to code reviews and maintain high quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

• Maintain and optimize existing cloud applications from both operational and financial perspectives.

Profile – The Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking a technically strong developer who combines deep cloud expertise with the ability to guide and support teams.

• Experience mentoring or guiding development teams, formally or informally.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively in both technical and business contexts.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing cloud-native applications on Azure using Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices with Azure DevOps.

• At least 1 year of experience developing ASP.NET Core Blazor applications.

• Azure certification such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or an Azure Expert-level certification.

• Strong expertise in .NET development (C# 8.0+) and REST API development using ASP.NET Core or Minimal APIs.

• Extensive experience with Terraform and containerization technologies such as Docker.

• Solid knowledge of modern software architecture patterns including microservices, serverless, SOLID principles, CQRS, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).

• Experience with related technologies such as SQL, SignalR, Redis, Blazor, CSS frameworks (Bootstrap), HTML5, and Dapr.

Languages

• Native proficiency in either Dutch or French.

• Good written and spoken knowledge of the second national language (French or Dutch).
