CMDB and ITIL Process Documentation Specialist
Function
We're looking for a specialist to join our client's IT Service Management team. This pivotal role involves maintaining and enhancing a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) while ensuring robust ITIL process documentation. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, making their contributions invaluable in aligning with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- CMDB Management:
- Maintain and update the CMDB to guarantee data accuracy and completeness.
- Track and manage all configuration items (CIs) effectively.
- Collaborate with multiple IT teams to ensure CMDB data synchronization.
- Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- ITIL Process Documentation:
- Develop, review, and maintain ITIL documentation for incident, problem, change, release, and configuration processes.
- Ensure documentation aligns with ITIL best practices.
- Work with process owners to capture requirements and document workflows.
- Create user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for enhancement in processes and provide recommendations.
- Monitor and measure performance metrics of ITIL processes.
- Training and Support:
- Facilitate training sessions for IT staff on CMDB and ITIL processes.
- Offer ongoing support for adherence to documented processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert in CMDB and ITIL documentation.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT Service Management focusing on CMDB and ITIL documentation.
- ITIL Foundation certification is mandatory; advanced certifications are advantageous.
- Expert understanding of ITIL best practices and principles.
- Proficiency in CMDB tools and IT Service Management software.
- Strong documentation and technical writing capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in both English and Dutch.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
This opportunity offers flexibility, with a mixture of remote and on-site working options, ensuring a work-life balance. The successful candidate will need to work a minimum of 3 days in the office per week, with part-time arrangements considered on a minimum of 2 days in the office. Proficiency in both English and Dutch, as well as previous experience with ITIL processes and tools, are essential for this role.
