CMS Developer Django/Wagtail

Function

Our client is looking for a versatile web platform specialist who combines second-line support with hands-on technical development. In this role, you will help ensure the stability and continuous improvement of the organization’s web platforms, while also contributing to debugging, testing, and technical enhancements across a range of web applications.

Responsibilities

The position is a blend of operational support and technical delivery, with approximately 60% focused on support, incident analysis, and coordination, and 40% dedicated to development and debugging.

• Handle and analyse incidents related to CMS platforms, web applications, integrations, and security topics.
• Identify recurring issues and propose structural improvements to enhance platform quality and stability.
• Support releases and contribute to the smooth operation of the environment.
• Create and maintain documentation, FAQs, and user guides.
• Maintain clear communication with internal users and first-line support.
• Debug issues in both frontend and backend web applications.
• Contribute to bug fixes and technical improvements.
• Test and validate new features to safeguard delivery quality.
• Analyse logs and monitoring data to track performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Support technical platform management activities and contribute to ongoing optimisation efforts.

Technical Skills

• Proven experience in developing web-based applications.
• Strong background in full stack web development.
• Experience with platform or system administration in a web environment, including DevOps-related work.
• Experience with ticketing or incident management processes and tools.
• Strong debugging skills and experience with log analysis.
• Solid knowledge of Git version control.
• Very comfortable with programming tasks such as coding, testing, and debugging.
• Experience with Django/Wagtail or a comparable framework is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile development methods is a plus.
• Knowledge of configuration management is a plus.
• Good command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with low-code development in Mendix is an advantage.

Practical Information

• Maximum 2 days of telework per week, depending on the needs of the assignment.
• This assignment will be ordered in partial contracts.
• Language requirement: Dutch at CEFR level C2.
• Language requirement: Fluent English.
