Cobol Analyst Developer

We are excited to invite a skilled Cobol Developer & Analyst to become a key member of our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving projects forward and enhancing system functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Cobol applications (Microfocus) with a focus on high performance and reliability.
• Conduct functional and technical analyses to ensure alignment with business needs and project requirements.
• Actively participate in projects, implementing new features and making necessary configurations.
• Provide accurate time estimations for project tasks to ensure timely execution and smooth workflow.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively, offering effective solutions.
• Test code thoroughly to guarantee quality and stability of the system.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and feature implementation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Advanced expertise in COBOL programming with practical experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience with SQL / PL-SQL is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented, with a pragmatic approach and a positive attitude.
• Proficient in Dutch or French is required.
• Willing to work 50% of the time at our client’s Brussels office.
