Communication & Content Technologies Architect

Function

We’re looking for an experienced Communication & Content Technologies Architect to join our client’s team and help shape the technology landscape supporting enterprise communication and content management. In this role, you will translate business and communication needs into scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions, while ensuring strong integration, governance, and alignment across the wider IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the architectural vision for communication and content technology solutions.
• Analyse business and functional requirements and translate them into robust technical architectures.
• Design and oversee integrations between communication, content, collaboration, and enterprise platforms.
• Evaluate existing solutions, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend appropriate technologies and architectural approaches.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements around security, scalability, performance, availability, compliance, and maintainability.
• Establish and promote architectural standards, principles, governance, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, infrastructure specialists, security teams, and external partners.
• Provide technical guidance throughout solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Document architectural decisions, solution designs, dependencies, and technical roadmaps.
• Contribute to technology strategy and support long-term modernization and transformation initiatives.

Profile

• Several years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a similar technical architecture role.
• Strong understanding of communication and content technologies within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience designing integrations and working with APIs, cloud platforms, data flows, and enterprise applications.
• Good understanding of security, identity and access management, data protection, and governance principles.
• Experience with architecture methodologies, standards, and structured solution design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
