Computer Vision Engineer

Function

Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a team focused on computer vision. You will develop and maintain camera-based solutions for classification, detection and visual inspection, helping production departments improve operational safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop new computer vision solutions for use in an industrial production environment.
• Build and maintain the core computer vision functionality in Python.
• Process and interpret computer vision output using C#.
• Integrate solutions with production systems.
• Deploy applications within a containerized, GPU-accelerated infrastructure.
• Take ownership of assigned development tasks while collaborating closely with the wider team.
• Implement, document and test software with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

Technical Skills

• Strong Python skills, specifically for computer vision applications.
• Practical knowledge of C#.
• At least two years of relevant experience developing computer vision solutions.
• Experience with containerized infrastructure and GPU-accelerated workloads.
• Experience with SQL Server is considered an advantage.
• Previous experience in an industrial environment is an asset.

• Master’s degree or an equivalent level achieved through professional experience.
• Precise and disciplined approach to software implementation, documentation and testing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned deliverables.
• Capable of balancing business priorities with technical considerations.

Practical Information

• This consulting assignment is based in the Ghent area
• Fluent Dutch and English are required.
