We're looking for a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our client's growing team and play a key role in strengthening their security posture and compliance landscape. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about information security, governance, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with senior security stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and execution of cybersecurity initiatives while supporting the organization's ongoing security maturity journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity initiatives in collaboration with IT and business teams.
- Develop, maintain, and promote information security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
- Coordinate and monitor compliance activities related to cybersecurity regulations and industry frameworks, including the definition and follow-up of remediation and action plans.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security controls designed to protect systems, networks, and sensitive information.
- Work with internal stakeholders to integrate security requirements into operational processes and projects.
- Act as a point of contact for security-related questions and provide guidance to business and technical teams.
- Translate complex technical risks and concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
- Support risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities across the organization.
- Contribute to security awareness and training initiatives that foster a strong security culture.
- Help prepare security metrics, reports, and dashboards to provide visibility into the organization's security posture.
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, regulations, and industry best practices.
The Ideal Candidate
- Approximately 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT, including internships or early-career roles.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in security governance, risk management, and information security policies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and cybersecurity regulatory requirements.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+ or ISO 27001 Foundation are considered an advantage.
- Experience contributing to projects in a structured and organized manner.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and eagerness to continuously develop expertise.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, combined with a collaborative and proactive attitude.
Language Skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Knowledge of French is considered a strong asset.
