We're looking for a consultant to join our client's team, taking on a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining high-quality data solutions for anti-money laundering (AML) processes. This position is essential for ensuring compliance, efficiency, and scalability across various operations within the organization. You will bridge the gap between data providers and data consumers, aligning technical solutions with business needs while adhering to strict data governance and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities will encompass various facets of data management:
- Stakeholder Alignment & Communication
- Facilitate collaboration among IT, Data Hub, Compliance, and Operations to ensure consistent alignment through structured documentation, workshops, and transparent communication.
- Convert complex business requirements into actionable data solutions while balancing technical feasibility with regulatory and operational needs.
- Data Governance & Quality
- Develop and enforce data governance frameworks, including role definitions and quality rules, in conjunction with data providers and consumers.
- Proactively monitor and refine data quality issues to maintain the integrity of AML-related datasets.
- Document business and technical rules for data integration to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Data Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, particularly in raw data formats.
- Conduct analysis of AML Transaction Monitoring data to identify patterns and gaps affecting compliance and operational efficiency.
Role and Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical and business expertise, including:
- Technical Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, particularly within AML processes.
- Hands-on proficiency in SQL and data modeling tools.
- Experience with reporting and dashboard tools.
- Business Expertise
- Comprehensive understanding of banking data, especially AML Transaction Monitoring.
- Ability to capture and manage functional and non-functional requirements for data solutions.
- Knowledge of data security and IT architecture within financial services.
Soft Skills and Language Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset:
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French, and English to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with extreme attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn, effectively linking strategic objectives to operational execution.
A Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, though candidates with relevant analytics knowledge in other fields will also be considered. The role will involve a hybrid working model, balancing onsite and home working equally.
