We’re looking for a Data & Analytics Application Analyst to join our client’s team in their mission to become fully data-driven. In this role, you will help transform business needs into actionable data solutions, enabling stakeholders across the organization to gain insights that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As a Data & Analytics Application Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will analyse analytical requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and support the development and implementation of data pipelines, dashboards, and reports. You will also ensure documentation and alignment with enterprise data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and translate them into functional specifications and use cases for the development or reuse of data assets, pipelines, and reports

• Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, including directors, providing guidance and recommendations on reporting and analytics

• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define and manage data roadmaps, including improvements, incidents, and new initiatives

• Assist development and testing teams in translating requirements into validated data assets, reports, and test scenarios

• Document solutions and maintain up-to-date records of functional designs and requirements

• Ensure alignment with existing business and solution architecture, consulting with enterprise, system, and solution architects as needed

Profile & Experience

• In-depth knowledge and proven experience with Azure data estate

• Strong understanding of analysis techniques, including use cases and scenario creation

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Methodical, precise, detail-oriented, and highly organized

• Proactive problem solver with a practice-oriented mindset

• Knowledge of transport operations, preferably in the railway sector, is a plus

• Master’s degree or equivalent

• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (e.g., Application Owner, Functional Analyst)

• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (spoken and written)

• Ability to work on-site at client offices at least 2 days per week

• Legal authorization to work in Belgium
