Data Analytics Manager
Function
Our client is looking for an experienced data and application specialist to help shape and maintain the organization’s database environment, data flows, and reporting capabilities. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, users, and external development partners to support data management needs, improve existing tools, and ensure reliable, user-friendly solutions.
Responsibilities
You will take ownership of the full lifecycle of database-related activities, from analysis and development to testing, implementation, support, and reporting. Your work will help ensure that data is accurate, accessible, and effectively used across the organization.
- Draft the technical specifications for new database developments and present them to potential suppliers
- Coordinate the development and programming of shared databases with external partners
- Define procedures for data entry and database usage
- Test newly developed databases together with users, analyse results, and propose or implement improvements
- Organize meetings and follow-up discussions with partners to monitor progress and decisions
- Track project decisions and maintain communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Prepare the rollout of shared databases and provide training to key users
- Investigate operational or data-related issues and propose suitable IT solutions to improve workflows and information sharing
- Analyse user needs, adapt existing databases, and develop proposals to address new requirements
- Support users with maintenance of individual databases and with the creation or adjustment of new applications, forms, tables, and reports
- Manage database users, data structures, and access rights
- Oversee configuration, backups, and overall system security
- Create reports and analyses that help users interpret and apply data effectively
- Verify the accuracy of data from annual accounts and subsidy files
- Compare data from multiple sources, including datacubes
- Participate in internal working groups and meetings
Technical Skills
The ideal profile combines strong database expertise with solid analytical and reporting skills. Experience in software or database development is essential, along with the ability to work confidently across data flows and business needs.
- Strong knowledge of informatics and software/database development
- Solid experience with MS SQL Server
- Expert knowledge of JSON, XML, Power BI, and Power Query
- Experience with BI tools and reporting
- Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and improve data management processes
- Capability to develop, program, and maintain user-friendly and accurate databases
- Understanding of data security, access management, and backup procedures
- Experience with common and organization-specific software
Profile

- Bachelor-level education or equivalent experience
- 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience identifying user needs and translating them into practical improvements
- Ability to work autonomously on data flows while respecting GDPR rules and internal procedures
- Willingness to escalate complex issues, licensing questions, budget-related decisions, or difficult user complaints when needed
- Experience with reporting and data analysis is required
Practical Information
- This is a hybrid assignment, with a requirement to work on site 3 days per week
- Language requirements: Dutch or French at native or bilingual level, and English at professional working proficiency
