Data Architect

We’re looking for a Senior Data Architect to join our client’s team and play a key role in shaping the organization’s data architecture and Master Data Management strategy. In this position, you will design and structure the data architecture for a major digital initiative, ensuring a scalable, secure, and future-proof framework. You will collaborate with architects, data specialists, and business stakeholders to establish best practices and ensure alignment with the broader data governance strategy.

Role & Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Architect, you will define and implement the data architecture framework supporting key digital platforms and data initiatives.

• Design the data architecture for a new strategic platform and its associated data ecosystem.
• Analyze and define the overall data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data management.
• Establish a structured planning and phasing approach for the implementation of the data architecture.
• Define and integrate a Data Hub concept and broader Master Data Management approach.
• Establish and align common processes for data lifecycle management, including Create, Update, and Delete.
• Develop and maintain data models for new systems and ensure consistency across platforms.
• Propose tools, best practices, and documentation to enable solution architects to design data models for their applications across different domains.
• Ensure alignment between the data architecture and established data governance principles.
• Clearly articulate the business value and benefits of the proposed data architecture approach.
• Support the data management team and collaborate closely with data governance stakeholders.

Profile – The Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking a strategic and collaborative data architecture expert who can combine high-level architectural vision with practical implementation.

• Proven experience as a Data Architect, ideally in environments involving Master Data Management and complex data ecosystems.
• Strong expertise in defining enterprise data architecture frameworks including metadata, reference data, and master data structures.
• Experience designing scalable and future-proof data architectures and data models.
• Ability to drive discussions, take ownership, and proactively move initiatives forward.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work both autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, influence, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance strategic vision and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, with professional proficiency in either French or Dutch.
