Data & BI Consultant

We’re looking for a consultant to join our client’s data and analytics team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a modern hybrid data landscape that combines an SAP-oriented platform with a cloud-based data platform in Microsoft Azure, using Power BI as the main reporting tool. Within a domain-oriented data organization, you will work closely with other data and BI specialists to build and maintain data and information products that support advanced analytics and reporting.

Role

As a BI Consultant, you will support the migration of existing BI solutions towards the Azure data platform while also contributing to various BI initiatives. Thanks to your technical background and BI expertise, you are able to manage BI and data challenges end-to-end, from understanding business needs to delivering analytical insights.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing requirement analysis and translating business needs into technical solutions

• Designing technical solutions and implementing data models within an Azure Databricks environment

• Developing reports and dashboards in Power BI

• Supporting the migration from a legacy BI stack towards the Azure data platform

• Guiding stakeholders and business users throughout the full BI delivery process

Tasks

Besides project work, you will also support the data team in maintaining the operational stability of the BI and data platforms.

Key activities include:

• Executing and monitoring daily data load jobs and operational activities

• Supporting incident and problem management processes

• Assisting with planned platform interventions and maintenance activities

• Following up on change and release processes

• Acting as a point of contact for business users and providing functional support within the domain

Profile

The ideal candidate combines strong BI expertise with hands-on experience in modern cloud data platforms.

Required skills and experience:

• Proven experience working as a BI Consultant

• Strong experience in data management and ETL processes

• Experience with Data Vault modelling and star schema modelling

• Hands-on experience with Databricks

• Experience working within a Microsoft Azure environment

• Experience with Python

• Ability to deliver end-to-end BI solutions from analysis to visualization

• Native-level Dutch proficiency (CEFR C2) required
