Data Engineer

Function

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our client's data team and help transform complex data into valuable insights that support strategic decision-making. You will become part of a multidisciplinary agile environment composed of data engineers, reporting specialists, architects, analysts, quality experts, and AI professionals working together on impactful data initiatives.

In this role, you will design, develop, deploy, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including data ingestion processes, data warehouses, and data marts. You will work closely with technical leads, data architects, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality analytical solutions while supporting the organization’s transition towards modern cloud-based data platforms.

Role & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, deploying, and maintaining BI solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and data volumes.
• Developing data ingestion processes, data warehouses, and data marts according to established standards and best practices.
• Collaborating with technical leads and data architects to ensure robust and efficient solutions.
• Testing analytics solutions, troubleshooting issues, performing maintenance activities, and creating technical documentation.
• Creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and/or SSRS.
• Preparing prototypes, conducting solution reviews, and providing demonstrations and training to business users.
• Working closely with project leadership throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery in an agile and pragmatic way.
• Supporting the organization in adopting and integrating Azure Databricks within its data landscape.

Technical Profile

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong experience in business intelligence development and data warehouse solutions.

You bring:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer within the Microsoft BI ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft BI technologies, including Visual Studio, SSIS, SSAS, SSMS, SSRS, Power BI, and SQL Server from a development perspective.
• Experience with Azure Databricks and Python is considered an asset.
• Solid experience in data warehouse design, including Kimball dimensional modelling.
• Experience working in agile project environments is a plus.
