We're looking for a data consultant to join our client's team. This organization is focusing on technological advancement to enhance public services. The team is involved in a variety of sectors ranging from data management to cybersecurity, aiming to improve processes and data accessibility for its users.

Responsibilities

In your role, you will be pivotal in the analysis, implementation, and operationalization of virtualized data layers that support various applications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up, configuring, and maintaining the data management platform, utilizing tools such as Denodo for virtualization and SAP Information Steward for data quality management.
• Managing data processing constraints and optimizing access times to various solutions.
• Establishing monitoring mechanisms for continuous improvement and incident management.
• Developing security policies and managing access compliance with local regulations.
• Designing and integrating workflows and databases necessary for data lifecycle management.
• Participating in the management of the organization's data dictionary and metadata.
• Contributing to IT solution projects that utilize the data platform and its tools.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a technical expert specializing in the design, deployment, and management of data access and delivery systems. Required skills and experience include:

• Strong knowledge of database solutions including SQL, query optimization, and server management.
• Experience in incident management and external application service management.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to monitor infrastructure using scripting and tools, including interpreting data for effective visualization.
• Experience in data transformation (SQL, VQL, Python) and implementing ETL procedures.
• Skills in data virtualization, specifically with tools like Denodo.
• Fluent in French, with minimum B2 certification in other languages preferred, including English and Dutch.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must confirm their ability to work on-site for a substantial portion of the week. Additionally, experience within the Francophone public sector is highly beneficial, especially in areas such as administration, healthcare, or justice. Candidates should also be prepared to detail their experience with data virtualization and application maintenance on Linux.
