-
Establishing and monitoring a robust data quality framework, including rule definition and performance tracking
-
Ensuring regulatory compliance, data protection alignment, and transparency through data lineage and classification
-
Collaborating closely with business and IT stakeholders to integrate governance processes into operational reality
-
Driving change management initiatives, coaching and supporting new data roles such as Data Owners and Data Stewards
-
Monitoring governance KPIs, identifying non-compliance risks, and implementing corrective actions
-
Overseeing the quality and timeliness of governance deliverables (business term documentation, metadata enrichment, classification, DQ rules)
-
Contributing to and leading internal and external data governance communities
Profile & Required Experience
Our client is seeking a senior professional with proven experience in large-scale environments covering:
-
Data governance operating models and governing bodies
-
Data quality management and monitoring
-
Data protection and regulatory compliance
-
Data lineage, metadata management, and business glossary development
In addition, you bring:
-
A Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience
-
Fluency in Dutch, French, and English (minimum professional proficiency levels required)
-
Availability to work on-site in Brussels at least two days per week
-
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to simplify complex regulatory and technical topics
-
Solid coordination and facilitation skills, ideally backed by project or program management experience
-
Proficiency in Python and/or SQL
-
Experience with leading data governance tools (considered a strong asset)
-
Certifications such as DMBOK, CIGO, AAIM or equivalent (a plus)
What Makes You Stand Out
You combine structure with pragmatism. You are able to bridge Business and IT, act as an integrator across stakeholders, and translate governance theory into sustainable operational practices. With a strong data mindset and a passion for clarity, you help organizations not only define governance frameworks — but truly live them.
