Data & Platform Engineer

We’re looking for a Data & Platform Engineer to join our client’s Advanced Analytics team and help build and scale the next generation of their Data Science and AI platform. In this role, you will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure that enables analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives across the organization. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building reliable data pipelines, enabling data teams, and shaping a modern data and AI ecosystem.

Role

As a Data & Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the core platform that supports data science experimentation, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning workloads. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and architects to ensure that the platform and data assets are scalable, reliable, and easy to use.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining the organization’s Data Science and AI platform

• Implementing best practices related to MLOps, CI/CD for data products, and scalable infrastructure

• Building and optimizing data ingestion pipelines with a focus on reliability, quality, and security

• Developing transformations and data models that support analytics and advanced data use cases

• Collaborating with data scientists to productionize datasets, features, and machine learning workflows

Collaboration & Platform Enablement

You will play an important role in enabling data teams by ensuring the platform is robust, accessible, and continuously improving.

Key activities include:

• Working closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Architects to deliver reusable and high-quality data assets

• Ensuring platform usability through proper documentation and knowledge sharing

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the data and AI platform

• Supporting best practices in data engineering and platform development

Profile

The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering skills with experience building scalable data platforms in cloud environments.

Required skills and experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or platform engineering

• Proven experience with cloud services used for industrialized data analytics projects

• Strong experience with Databricks (core runtime, jobs, workflows, Delta Lake)

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform

• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL

• Experience with PySpark

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices

• Understanding of containerization concepts such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with cloud platforms; Azure experience is considered an asset

• Fluent English
