We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our client’s analytics team and act as a scientific reference for a group of experienced data professionals. You will play a key role in shaping high-impact, data-driven initiatives, ensuring methodological rigor while fostering innovation and the adoption of advanced analytical approaches across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced data science solutions using machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI techniques to support operational, safety, and sustainability-related use cases.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, and sustainability stakeholders, to understand challenges and translate them into analytical solutions.

• Define and uphold best practices in model development, validation, and deployment, ensuring reliability and industrial readiness.

• Drive the adoption of modern tools, methodologies, and cloud-based analytics capabilities within the team.

Profile of the ideal candidate

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

• At least five years of professional experience in data science, with a strong track record in industrial or operational environments.

• Solid expertise in cloud platforms for large-scale, industrialized analytics projects.

• Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark, with a deep understanding of a broad range of data science and advanced analytics techniques.

• Demonstrated experience in bringing machine learning and AI models into production, from design to deployment.

Practicalities and added value

• Fluent in English, with strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented insights.

• Comfortable working in a hybrid setup, with on-site presence at our client’s office two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday).
