Data Visualisation Specialist

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our client's team as a Data Visualisation Specialist. In this role, you will be pivotal in developing and maintaining business reporting while working closely with various stakeholders to meet their visualization needs.

The successful candidate will support internal partners by executing various data reporting and visualization projects, which include:

• Assessing stakeholder visualization and reporting needs while capturing requirements to craft prototypes and complete dashboards.
• Collecting and assembling data to aid in the prototyping of visualizations.
• Overseeing the entire life-cycle of dashboards and reports including development, updating, optimization, publication, and decommissioning in line with governance guidelines.
• Collaborating with Data Engineers to ensure sustainable data solutions meet new business demands.
• Advocating for and implementing reporting and visualization best practices based on predefined standards.
• Documenting processes and training users for effective tool utilization.
• Engaging in optimization projects while delivering periodic reporting reflective of new developments.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including strong technical expertise in:

• Preparing data for visualization and constructing narratives to guide decision-making efforts.
• Data visualization, dashboard design, and knowledge of data concepts such as Data Warehouses and Data Marts.
• Understanding governance and security measures related to data handling.
• Proficiency in reporting and visualization tools, particularly advanced MS Office (Excel), Power BI, and Tableau.
• Familiarity with SQL and ideally experience with SAS and Python.

In addition to technical qualifications, you must have:

• Strong communication skills for presenting complex data clearly.
• The ability to negotiate and build relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Experience within the banking or financial services industry and an understanding of data governance and GDPR compliance is a plus.
• Adaptability, a client-focused attitude, and a result-oriented approach.
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Fluency in English and Dutch is required, along with the capability to work in a hybrid setting (50% onsite and 50% remote).
