Deputy CIO / IT Transformation Lead

We're looking for a consultant to join our client's team in a transformative role within their IT division. The organization is focused on enhancing its information systems to support a wide range of medical, operational, and administrative activities. In this context, support is needed to structure IT demand management, improve project delivery, and enhance overall departmental performance.

Mission and Responsibilities

The consultant will be engaged in organizing the flow of IT requests, refining project portfolio management, and evolving the delivery model to strengthen the organization’s ability to select, prioritize, and efficiently deliver IT initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing a structured process for IT demand management from needs expression to launch decision.
• Developing a coherent and prioritized IT project portfolio and improving visibility of project progress for stakeholders.
• Transforming the delivery model by enhancing methodologies, clarifying roles, and ensuring effective risk management practices.
• Strengthening relations and communication between the IT division and business units through regular dialogues on priorities and projects.
• Overseeing delivery performance from external partners while reducing dependency on suppliers in project management.
• Enhancing operational maturity within the IT division by supporting project managers and embedding a culture of accountability and service delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

The perfect candidate will have significant experience in managing IT delivery transformations, a strong background in project portfolio management, and a comprehensive understanding of IT governance. They should possess the following skills:

Fluency in Dutch and English is essential, with additional French proficiency being a plus.

Engagement Details

This role is part of a long-term transformation initiative aimed at solidifying the new practices within the IT department. The consultant should be available for on-site engagement, potentially up to four days a week. Candidates with a strong track record in IT delivery transformation and relevant project management experience are highly encouraged to apply.
