DevOps Engineer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced DevOps professional to help establish and evolve the cloud environment for both existing and new assets. This opportunity is focused on strengthening deployment automation, improving release orchestration, and supporting development teams with reliable tooling across the delivery chain.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new tools and technologies to support cloud and deployment operations.
• Automate deployments using orchestration and deployment tools, including Jenkins and Digital AI.
• Build deployment automation for middleware, database, and web products using Terraform.
• Support release orchestration, including application packaging, runbooks, and release pipeline workflows.
• Enable tooling that supports development, testing, quality, and collaboration activities.
• Contribute to build and deployment automation using tools such as Ansible.

Technical Skills

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in DevOps practices and the tools that support continuous delivery in complex environments.

• Expert knowledge of Linux, Shell scripting, and Python programming.
• Solid understanding of DevOps concepts, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Testing, and process automation.
• Experience with infrastructure and delivery tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, Helm, Node.js, Terraform, Ansible, Docker containers, PostgreSQL, Redis, and CFT.
• Practical knowledge of production environments, both on-premise and cloud-based.
• Good technical understanding of cloud, Java, and container technologies.
• Knowledge of architecture rules and standards.
• Experience with CI platform components such as Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, SVN, and Git.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Node.js, Digital AI, and cloud environments is considered an advantage.

Profile

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in a DevOps or infrastructure automation role.
• Bachelor-level education.
• Certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Logical thinker with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proactive, self-starting, and able to work independently with commitment and ownership.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is mandatory; familiarity with Agile ways of working is preferred.

Practical Information

• Language requirements: fluent English; Dutch required; French is optional.
• Travel: required.
