Function

We're looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Lead to join our client's team and support a large-scale digital transformation initiative. In this role, you'll connect business and IT, align multiple agile teams around shared objectives, and drive the delivery of strategic applications in a complex technology environment. Acting as both a delivery leader and domain coordinator, you'll rely on influence, collaboration, and clear direction to empower teams, manage dependencies, and ensure business priorities translate into tangible results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align multiple agile teams around a common vision, ensuring delivery plans support strategic and business objectives.
  • Translate business needs into actionable roadmaps, coordinate cross-team planning, and manage priorities and dependencies transparently.
  • Foster team autonomy through servant leadership, coaching, and continuous development.
  • Facilitate cross-team synchronisations, reviews, retrospectives, and other activities that encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Remove delivery blockers and strengthen collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
  • Manage change requests, identify and escalate significant risks or deviations, and provide clear progress updates to governance bodies.
  • Coordinate suppliers as active delivery partners and contribute to budget and capacity management.
  • Support delivery governance across architecture, integration, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, data flows, and application lifecycle management.

Technical Expertise

The ideal candidate combines strong delivery and governance capabilities with a broad understanding of modern IT architecture, cloud platforms, security, and data management. Relevant expertise includes:

  • Agile delivery, project governance, dependency management, and cross-functional programme coordination.
  • Solution architecture and integration patterns, including APIs, messaging, batch processing, interface contracts, versioning, reference data, and workflow engines.
  • Release and environment management, including DTAP strategies, cutovers, rollbacks, and end-to-end testing.
  • Cloud and DevOps technologies, including Azure Landing Zones, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Kubernetes, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and FinOps fundamentals.
  • Advanced Azure DevOps capabilities, including work item hierarchies, Delivery Plans, dependency tracking, reporting, CI/CD pipelines, and branching strategies.
  • Security, compliance, and resilience, including NIS2, GDPR, data retention, logging, risk acceptance, biometric data handling, and RPO/RTO principles.
  • Data platform integration, including Change Data Capture (CDC), ETL processes, and coordination of data migration activities.

Experience with large-scale European IT systems, biometric integrations, observability, enterprise architecture frameworks, or KQL/OData is an advantage.

The Ideal Candidate

You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in complex IT delivery environments, including proven responsibility for coordinating multiple teams and managing cross-functional dependencies. You understand agile methodologies, project governance, business process reengineering, organisational change management, and application lifecycle management. As a natural communicator and coach, you can influence stakeholders without relying on formal authority, translate complex technical matters into clear direction, and maintain strong relationships across business and technology teams. You are analytical, diplomatic, resilient, and solution-oriented, with a transparent and integrity-driven approach to leadership. Scrum and ITIL certifications are mandatory; a Microsoft Azure certification is an advantage.
