We're looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Lead to join our client's team and help drive a major digital transformation initiative. You'll bring multiple agile teams together around a shared vision, guide the delivery of strategic business applications, and help build a more autonomous, collaborative, and future-ready IT organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Align multiple agile squads around shared objectives, ensuring business priorities and team delivery remain synchronised.
• Establish clear frameworks that empower teams to make decisions independently and strengthen their maturity.
• Coordinate planning, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure transparent prioritisation across initiatives.
• Facilitate cross-team synchronisations, reviews, and retrospectives while promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Remove delivery obstacles and foster collaboration between IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
• Coach and support team members, encourage constructive feedback, and promote a culture of trust, accountability, and transparency.
• Manage change requests, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to governance bodies.
• Identify and escalate significant risks, issues, and deviations in a timely manner.
• Coordinate supplier activities and build effective partnerships with external delivery teams.
• Oversee budget and capacity management in line with organisational priorities and financial constraints.

Expertise & Experience

The ideal candidate combines strong delivery leadership with a broad understanding of agile project management, business processes, and application lifecycle management. Relevant experience includes:

• Agile methodologies and coordination of multiple autonomous teams in complex IT environments.
• Project and programme management, governance frameworks, and delivery planning.
• Stakeholder management across business, IT, governance, and external partners.
• Business process reengineering, process optimisation, and organisational change management.
• Application management, including maintenance, lifecycle planning, and continuous evolution.
• Budget and capacity management within complex organisational structures.
• Translating strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps and measurable delivery priorities.

The Ideal Candidate

You bring at least 10 years of experience in a comparable leadership role, with a proven track record of coordinating multiple teams and delivering complex IT initiatives. Your background includes working at the intersection of business and technology, potentially as a Senior Product Owner, Business Relationship Manager, Programme Director, or in a similar strategic delivery role. You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments, balancing competing interests, and influencing without relying on formal authority. With strong communication, coaching, and analytical skills, you can explain technical topics in business-friendly language and maintain focus on results under pressure. Experience within the public sector or a comparable institutional environment is essential, along with a sound understanding of institutional dynamics and organisational transformation.
