Dynamics 365 Configurator & Functional Consultant

Function

We're looking for an experienced functional consultant to join our client's team and support the optimization and further development of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business and technology by translating business requirements into practical solutions, improving processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results across CRM and Power Platform initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities

As a functional consultant, you will play a key role in analyzing business needs and transforming them into efficient ICT solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing and optimizing business processes, with a strong focus on business process modelling (BPM).
• Performing functional analysis within CRM/XRM environments and configuring forms, workflows, business rules, security models, and reporting functionalities.
• Configuring, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, including Customer Insights and Customer Service.
• Supporting testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
• Organizing workshops, delivering training sessions, and ensuring knowledge transfer to end users.
• Managing stakeholders and coordinating with the various parties involved in the project.
• Contributing to project planning, estimations, coordination, timelines, and budget awareness.

Technical Skills & Expertise

The ideal candidate combines strong functional expertise with hands-on experience in Microsoft technologies and process optimization:

• Proven experience in business operations applied to ICT environments.
• Strong knowledge of business process modelling and translating user requirements into Microsoft Dynamics 365 configurations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 configuration, implementation, and optimization.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Customer Insights, Dynamics Customer Service, and Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps and Copilot Studio.
• Experience configuring workflows, forms, business rules, security models, and reports within Dynamics 365 environments.
• Familiarity with case management solutions, data migration, and CRM data management.
• Experience with GIS, geospatial data, or geospatial applications.
• Knowledge of reporting and document-generation tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or similar technologies.
• Experience with testing and validation of functional configurations.
• Familiarity with identity and integration frameworks and other public-sector digital building blocks is considered an asset.

Profile & Practical Information

Our client is looking for a consultant with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, combined with a strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset. You are comfortable operating in a role that combines functional analysis, configuration, process improvement, and end-user interaction. In addition, you have a solid understanding of project management aspects such as planning, estimation, coordination, cost management, and delivery timelines.

This is a long-term consulting assignment with a hybrid working model. Presence on-site is required at least one day per week at our client's main office in Brussels, complemented by one additional day per week at a regional office location. Daily activities and deliverables are managed through Jira. Candidates must be fluent in Dutch (CEFR level C2).
