Enterprise Architect

We're seeking a seasoned consultant to join our client’s dynamic team, fostering digital transformation within the public sector focused on water management. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in enterprise architecture and IT strategy, while effectively aligning technology solutions with business objectives in this critical domain.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play an integral role in guiding our client's digital transformation efforts by developing and implementing comprehensive IT governance and architecture strategies tailored to specific organizational needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Aligning IT strategy with business goals, ensuring that technology solutions meet sector-specific requirements.
- Assuming the role of interim CIO/Program IT Manager to lead internal governance efforts.
- Defining and evolving enterprise architecture, ensuring interoperability and evolution of information systems.
- Integrating cybersecurity, resilience, and compliance requirements into all technology initiatives.
- Managing IT programs and projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, risks, and objectives.
- Producing essential architectural documentation and providing knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in enterprise architecture, project management, and public sector regulations, required to navigate the unique challenges within this space. Key qualifications include:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in information systems, with at least 5 years in senior roles such as CIO or Enterprise Architect.
- Expertise in developing IT strategies aligned with organizational goals and a solid understanding of IT governance frameworks.
- Proven experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent) and IT project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of data architecture and integration, particularly within SAP and open-source environments.
- Fluency in English and Dutch is required, with excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
