Function
The Role
As Senior Architect IT Infrastructure, you act as the architectural anchor across infrastructure, cloud and security topics. You ensure end-to-end coherence between projects, technical teams and stakeholders, and you translate strategy into pragmatic, secure designs.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Governance
-
Define and formalize IT architecture principles, standards and best practices (e.g. TOGAF)

Design and maintain target architectures (infrastructure, application landscape and security)

Set up and lead an internal Architecture Board together with key IT and Security stakeholders
-
Support governance initiatives such as RACI definition and improved change processes
Cloud & Migration Leadership

Coordinate the migration of the existing IT infrastructure towards a cloud / hybrid environment

Ensure alignment between multiple architects, technicians and service providers involved

Supervise the migration of Microsoft SaaS solutions, including:
-
Microsoft 365 (O365), OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Fabric and related services

Project Support & Quality Assurance
-
Provide hands-on architectural support to Project Managers throughout projects
-
Review, challenge and improve solution designs to guarantee security, performance and consistency
-
Own and/or validate project architecture and design documents
-
Ensure high-quality, complete and structured documentation post-migration
-
Participate in troubleshooting sessions during IT and/or security incidents when needed
-
Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to uplift the broader IT maturity of the organization
Your Profile
Experience
-
Master’s degree in IT (or equivalent experience)
-
10+ years of experience as an IT Architect
-
12+ years total professional IT experience
Technical Expertise
-
Strong background in enterprise and infrastructure architecture
-
Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DCaaS)
-
Knowledge of DevOps concepts and modern delivery practices:
-
CI/CD, continuous testing, feature toggles, high availability
-

Strong understanding of:
-
Networking (switching, routing, security)
-
Communication standards and protocols + secure communication principles
-
Cybersecurity fundamentals for modern IT environments
-

Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF

Languages

English: professional working proficiency (written and spoken)

French or Dutch: native-level

Other national language: at least passive understanding
