Expert Program Manager

We're looking for an experienced consultant to take the lead on an ambitious digital transformation initiative for our client. This project aims to enhance citizen access to essential government services through a unified digital assistant, integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence. Additionally, the initiative will align with a European AI program that emphasizes sovereignty, scalability, compliance, and reliability, reinforcing both regional and European standards.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for achieving strategic program goals while ensuring collaboration between local and European initiatives. Key tasks will include:

• Leading infrastructure and development projects with extensive experience in program management.
• Utilizing project management techniques and tools for effective risk management and issue tracking.
• Applying knowledge of project management methodologies such as Prince2, ITIL, Agile, and Scrum.
• Transferring expertise to team members and stakeholders effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills and experiences:

• Proven experience as a Program Manager, particularly in infrastructure and development projects (a minimum of 8 years).
• Experience with Generative AI and document management.
• Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR Level C2 and possess sound English language skills.
• Familiarity with the workings of the Flemish Government and GDPR compliance is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder and vendor management.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies is crucial, with certifications in relevant areas (e.g. Prince2, PMBok).

This position will require the successful candidate to work remotely using their own device, accessing projects virtually. Note that adherence to environmental principles as outlined in funding guidelines will be essential, particularly concerning climate change and sustainability goals.
