We're looking for an experienced Finance Business Controller to join our client's finance organization and play a key role in budgeting, financial planning, and business performance management. In this position, you'll act as a trusted business partner for senior stakeholders, providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making while ensuring accurate budget control, forecasting, and reporting. You'll also contribute to finance transformation initiatives and the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage operational and investment budgets for assigned business units, ensuring timely analysis and corrective actions where needed.
- Partner with business leaders and management teams to provide financial guidance and support effective budget management.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting, forecasts, estimates, and budget plans for senior management.
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Support and coordinate finance and IT transformation initiatives, including the implementation and improvement of financial processes and ERP solutions.
- Structure and maintain financial projects within ERP systems to meet operational and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to business cases for new initiatives by assessing operational expenditure and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) impacts.
- Drive continuous improvements in financial planning, reporting, and controlling processes.
Your Profile
- Master's degree in Finance or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar Finance Business Controlling role within an IT-driven environment.
- Proven expertise in financial controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, including participation in implementation or operational improvement projects.
- Experience with SAP and financial reporting tools is considered a strong asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience interacting with senior business leaders.
- Able to work autonomously, take ownership, and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in Dutch or French (C1 level) and English (B2 level or higher).
What's Offered
This is a hybrid opportunity requiring a minimum of two days per week on-site at our client's office in Brussels, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
